Faith and Worship Ministry In Grace
Victory in the valley of baca Biblical Text: Psalm 84.5-7
introduction:
The Valley of Baca Valley of Baca, is called "Valley of Lamentations", "Valley of Tears and" Arid Valley ". Balm existing plants in the Valley "wept", ie, a liquid exuded a pleasing aroma that Baca should make a fragrant place. Ointments are known for their soothing and calming properties, so dark
Valley of difficult passage containing his secrets.
1 Inevitable in Our Lives.
The Israelites almost every Palestinian had to pass through the Valley of Baca, when the road to Jerusalem. The topography forced them to it. In Christian experience is no different.
Many are the adversities that afflict us and make us cry throughout our earthly pilgrimage, disappointments, disasters, calamities, losses, shortages, sickness and death. In one way or another, sooner or later, more or less times all pass through the Valley. The Valley is inevitable. It is a consequence of life. However, we are not alone in this valley. The Lord God is Us! Examples:
• In Fiery Furnace - "He is the Fourth Man." (Dan 3:25).
• In the Lion's Den - "He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah." (Dn 6.16,20-22, Rev. 5.5).
• In the Valley of Our Lives - "He is the God who is present." (Ps 23.4; Is 43.2; Hb 13.5b).
2 Place the Human Impossibility.
The Valley of Baca is a barren place where living conditions are quite scarce, there are few resources actually this "valley" enables us to see that we are nothing. The Lord allows all their children go through this "valley" at some time in their lives so they can realize how much you need the Lord.
The Scripture says:
- "... Without me ye can do nothing." (John 15.5). "... Our sufficiency is of God." (2 Cor 3.5).
It is the Place Where God Speaks:
- "Fear not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I'll stress, and help you, and uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness ... For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand saying unto thee; Fear not, I will help thee. "(Isaiah 41.10,13).
3 Place of Divine Providence.
The Valley of Baca is the "wilderness" of our lives where we learn that Jesus alone is our livelihood, our bread and water. In the Valley of Baca exists only baca (undergrowth that does not need water to survive), we need water to survive. The Valley of Baca is not our place, we have to go there at some time in our lives there and experience the Lord Jesus as our source of living water.
In the Valley of Baca's Divine Providence:
• For Thirsty. (John 7:37, 4:14).
• For the Hungry. (John 6:35).
- "And Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me shall never hunger ... "
• For the Weary and Burdened. (Mt 11:28).
• And for the Needy. (Phil 4:19).
- "And my God shall supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."
Summary: He who would win joy and achievement in your life have to pass through the Valley of Baca. "Who passing through the valley of Baca, make it a well ..." (v.6). Far from being discouraged or faint, will "go from strength to strength ..." (v.7), and take possession of the victory in the name of the Lord Jesus. Hey, do not give up, continue! The psalmist says "... weeping may endure for a night ... (sl 30.5) Those who sow with tears ... (sl 126.5-6)
